-* — ■ ■ „ The .ordinary, meeting , of ' the Lam Board was held on /Thursday. Present--Messrs' J. ,H. ! Baker (Commissioner), A ~W. Hogg, W." McCardlei W7 A. Fitzher bert, and D. H: Macarthur. The follow ing applications for titles were granted :— Mr T. Wood, Section 63, Block IX. Pohangina; J. GK Harris, Section 38 Block XIII., Apiti. The following ap plications for titles were granted, subjeol to the usual certificate ; W. Port, sectior 22, Block 'X., Pohangina; E. Barrat Section 47, J Block VII., Apiti;, J, C Eoofe, Section 61: Block IX., Pohangina The following applications for transfere were granted : — J. Murphy to J. Malone. • Section 9, Block VIII., Apiti ; F. Jackson to "A. Wat , Sect' on 18, Block 111., Apiti. The following transfers were granted, subject : to favourable reports being received from rangers : — J. Tennant to P. Hennessy Section 32, Block IV., Ongo ; P. Eeid to' O. S. and T. B. Tyerm. n, Section 14, Block XL, Apiti. Extension of time for grassing was granted to J. McClenaghan on Section 11, Block IV., Apiti, J. Waugh applied to be exempt from residence on Section 54, Block "XIII., Apiti. — Kefused. It was resolved to cancel the interest of the selector of Section. 39, Block K. Pohangina, for noncompliance" with the conditions of the Act. The Commissioner brought under the notice of the Board the question of improvements- which w-sre required to be -done before selectors could obtain their titles. After discussion Mr Hogg moved, •*nd Mr Macarthur seconded, That the Government be requested to obtain an - opinion.. from the Crowu Prosecutor or Crown Law Officer on the point— Carried. On the motion of Mr Macarthur, seconded hy Mr Hogg, it was agreed to rescind the resolution of April 30th; 1891, .compelling Mrs Hicks to reside on Section 7, Block IX., Apiti: . "
