Warm rain has fallen in the country round the upper reaches oftheOreti river. It is feared the farms on the lower flats will be submerged. New Plymouth, May 11. A heavy gale has been blowing during the night. The N.Z. Times' Havelook correspondent wires : — It has been raining since Sunday and the Upper Pelorous is in the highest flood known for years, sheep and timber being washed down.
