The Ballarat Tragedy
1 PER UNITED PRESB ASSOCIATION. I Melbourne, May 11. The execution of Johnston,, the" Ballarat commission agent, who murdered his wife and children was fixed for to-day, but 10 minutes before the hour a respite arrived. Owing to representations made by the doctors as to his sanity, the execution- has been postponed for a week to permit of a further examination being made.
