At the funeral of the late Sir John Robertson yesterday, wreaths were placed on the coffin from all the Ministries in the colonies, including New Zealand. Another race between Stansbury and McLean, for £'200 a-side and the championship of the world, has been arranged. It will be rowed on the 7th of July, and the course will be from Uhr's Point instead of Charity Point, thus making it a shorter distance than usual. This Day. The Kiel Observatory intimates that a bright comet in the position of Barnard's comet, is visible in the morning in the east. Melbourne, This Day. A prisoner serving a sentence in Pentridge has confessed that he murdered Mrs Jubb, the victim of the Parliament Place tragedy. He states that he had burglariously entered the house occupied by Mrs Jubb, and being surprised before he could carry out his design, he shot Mrs Jubb. A man named Turner, who boarded in the house, was arrested on the charge of committing the crime, but when the case came before the Supreme Court the jury acquitted him. The prisoner's story is believed is a fabrication for the purpose of gaining notoriety. The death sentence in the case of Wilson, convicted of a capital offence on a girl, is to carried out. Bbisbane, This Day. A special meeting of the Fastoralißts' and Employers' Association is being held at Barcaldine, and the Unionists are quiescent pending the result of the deliberations,
