Wellington Land Board
. The ordinary meeting of the Land Board was held at Wellington on Thursday last. Applications to transfer was granted fis .follows: — Section 2, Block 1., •Maugaoue from W. H. Mnndy to J. ISariow; Station 2, Block X., Mangaoue, 0. Griffin to Mrs Von Reden. T. W. Hughes was granted permission to take in a -partner in Section 23, Block XIV., Makuri.- A similar application from W. T. Beard of Section 79, Block VI., Apiti was also •gniuted. Applications for titles were dealt with as unrW":— G-. Baker, Section 28, Bhick *XV., Ougo, granted; JR. S. Herbert, - Sectiou 70, Block V., Mangadue, granted ; W. Miers, Section 30, -Block IX., Pohaugiiia, granted.-- --• The executors- of the late W. Atkins applied for permission to lease Section 80; Block XIV, Apiti, for a terra of years. It was decided to re fuse the application. The: Commissioner submitted a report from the survej'or on tiie reserve adjoining section 65, Block VI., Pohaugina, and it was resolved to have the laud surveyed and reported upon, so that the Board could deal with it to the f>est advantage. It was decided to throw open for application for cash, at 25s per acre, the section in the Wangnuui Endowment Block uuaold at last sale. It was resolyed to inform Mrs J. Hicks, who forwarded a r:ertin"caf;e stating her inability to reside <m her email run, that there was no option but for her to comply with the condition of the Act. The TJudi-r Secretary for Crown Lands wrote staling I hat the Hou the Minister for Lamis could uot alter hi 3 ■decis'iou as to the couditious of imposts required on village settlement sections on deferred paymeuta. The Board decided, to deal with all the sections affVctod by this resolution after obtaining the Ranger's report.
