Details to hand show that Mr& Grimwood, wife of the British Resident at Manipur, acted with great heroism after the evacuation of the Residency, and it was mainly through her guidance that the refugees were enabled to make their escape. April 16. Lieutenant . Pressmore defeated 30ft Manipurs, 50 of whom were killed.
