Feilding School Committee .

A meeting of the above committee was held last evening at the school house. Present — F. Y. Lethbridge (chairman), W. Watts (secretary), Worsfold, Curtis, Hicks and Gould. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary announced the receipts from the last concert to be £13 5s 6d; expenses, £4 ; surplus £9 5s 6d. Some correspondence of an unimportant character was dealt with. The Secretary of ( the Education Board wrote, stating the Board had appointed another pupil teacher to the school. He also wrote that the Board were unable to make certain improvements to the master's residence. Eesolved, That Messrs Watts and WorsfoM be a committee to select prizes for the children who passed at the last examination. Various accounts were passed for payment, and the committee adjourned. A meeting of householders will be held at the school house on Tuesday evening next, when the election of a committee for the ensuing year will take place. Nominations must be left with the chairman (Mr Lethbridge) on or before Monday. The following members of the present committee have been nominated : Messrs Lefchbridge, Curtis, Morey, Worsfold and Gould. New candidates — Messrs J. C. Thompson and J. Taylor.
