SHOCKING MURDER AT HOBART.

Hobabt, This Day. A horrible murder is reported from Sandy Bay. A man named Quamley in a tit of jealousy cut off the head of a widow named Davidson, with a carving knife and then inflicted serious wounds on himself, which it is believed will prove fatal. The murder is surrounded with peculiar circumstances. Adelaide, This Day. The police have made a raid on several tobacconist's shops in town where suspected gambling was carried, on and arrested 35 persons. Sydney, April 13. A rich development of carbonate ore has been found in the South Broken Hill mine. Brisbane, April 13 Floods at Cairns have drowned over five hundred cattle and two hundred horses. It is not at present known whether any human lives have been lost. Auckland, April 13. The names of Sir Waller Buller, Mr J M Dargaville, Mr Aclum Porter, and Mr J.
