LPSB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION, j Sydney, April 2. - It has been raining hard all day, consequently the attendance at Bandwick this afternoon was not so large as on Saturday: and Monday. Following are the results ;— • The All-aged Stakes, a sweepstakes of 10 soys each, with 500 added ; seco.nd horse 100, soys from the prize, one mile. Mr G. Hill's br h Marvel, , by Marvellous —La Belle, 4yrs, 9st (Harris) 1 ; Hon D. S. Wallace's b h Carbine, syrs 9st lib (Bamage) 2 : Mr -'s JEuroka, 4yrs 9st (Chaafe) 3. jFour horses started. Betting 5 to 2 on Carbine, 3 to 1 against Marvel, 50 to 1 against Euroka. The field went away at a great pace, Carbine and Marvel being in front. ~ Carbine took up the running shortly after the start, and retained his advantage to the straight where he was passed by Marvel, who was never again headed, and won easily by three lengths. Time lmin 43sec.' . First Foal Stakes, of 20 soys each, with 400 soys added. For two-year olds. Six furlongs. — Stromboli, 1 ; Oxide, 2 ; Sanctuary, 3. Four started. Won by a length and a half. Time lmin 18sec. Cumberland Stakes, of 10 soys each with 500 added ; w.f.a. ; second 100 soys from the prize, 2 miles. — Carbine, (Ramage) 1 ; Marvel, (Harris) 2. Only two started. Betting 5 to 4on Carbine. On the fall of the flag the pair went away at a canter, Marvel being indulged in the lead until three-quarters of a mile from home, when Carbine went up to him. Turning into the straight Carbine drew ,out and won easily by three lengths amidst tremendous excitement and cheers. Time 4min 4sec. City Handicap, of 5 soys each, and 500; soys added, 1 mile and a tialf.WWilga, 1 ;: Southerly, 2; Aviemore, 3. Time 2min 43sec. ~- .• i ,
