Mangaone Cricket Club
.' • A meeting of members of the Mangaone Cricket Club was held in the Mangaone Public Hall on Wednesday night last, when Mr Edward Smith was voted' to the chair. The Hon. Secretary, Mr J. B. Pringle, read the report and balance-sheet, which showed . the Club to be about fourpounds to the. good. These were .duly adopted. Some discussion took place as to the best way^to improve the ground -for next year's play and ultimately it was Proposed by Mr- Pringle, seconded by Mr Pike, that, a piece of ground two chains L ~ and a half square be stumped, and ploughed, Messrs D. Entwisble, A. Pringle, and Gibson Millan to be a committee to let the work. — Carried It was then decided to wind up this season by a plain and fancy, dress ball, ■ Messrs ' J. T. Bray, D. Enfewisfcle, J. Pringle and L, Pike being empowered to fix the date, and carry out all the necessary arrangements. A vote of thanks to - the chairman closed the proceedings. 1
