The London Bellringers

• «t There appears at the Assembly Rooms on . Wednesday evening, next ■ the Bth of April, an entertainment that should appeal to the instincts of all lovers of .music. Those contributing towards the entertainment alluded to are the Faust Family of Musicians, Comedians, and Dancers, and the great London Bellringers. To give our readers some idea' of the class of entertainment to be presented for their Delectation on Wednesday next, we clip the following extract from the Auckland Herald of the llfh of November last, which says : — This combination company opened for a short season at the Opera House last night to a crowded audience ; for although the London Bellringers were unknown qualities to the Auckland public, the musical, humourous, and acrobatic excellence of the Faust Family were vividly in the recollection, of these who, some six years ago, witnessed their wonderfully clever performances in (Jlriarini's Circus. ' Those who were present last night were surprised to learn that the London-Bell-ringers were the Fausts, with the addition, or rather, under the leadership of Herr von Mehden, the distinguished cornet soloist. The com* bination also includes Gus Lynch, a clever comedian and character singer and dancer, and an excellent delineator of Irish stage characteristics. No better two hours of mirth- and music has ever been furnished to an Auckland audience, and . we have no hesitation in predicting f or a the clever combination a most successful season.
