The insiifgenta at Iquique are in a desperate condition, bordering almost on tainine, and their supply of coal for the navy is nearly exhausted. Pour vessels of the rebel fleet, including the Blanco Encalada and the O'Higgins, sank the Government tug, and: also a torpedo boat, off Valparaiso. ' A shell afterwards disabled the O'Higgins, killing 12 men., A fish torpedo fired by the Blanco EncaJada accidentally destroyed the dry dock.
