Karaveloff, formerly Premier under Prince Alexander's administration. The semi-official press allege that the assassin is a Russian agent, and it is believed that he has made his escape to Servia. New Yokk, March 29 One thousand deaths are reported in Chicago from influenza this week. Dr Gentry, of Chicago, claims to have discovered the influenza microbe. John O'Connor, one of Parnell's delegates to America, is at Boato'i suffering from influenza, and his condition is re garded as critical. Buenos Ayktcs, March 29. A conspiracy has been detected among the police, who seized a number of rifles. Several arrests were made. Valparaiso, March 29. Tlie rebels have captured Chimaral. President Balmaceda has dismissed eleven Judges of the Court of Appeal and four from the Supreme Court.
