STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK BBPOfiT. Bulls. March 21. Good entries came forward at our sale at Awahuri ou the 18th, both for cattle and sheep. The same at Hunterville on the 19th, but the classes of sheep were inferior. Bidding was very brisk at Awahuri, moderately so at Hunterville, nearly all the stock was sold at both yards. Cattle on the whole averaged better prices and the demand seemed keener. Our quotations are : — Cattle — Awahuri — Fat cows, £3 6s 9d ; forward cows, £3 Os 6d ; forward bullocks, £4: Os 6d to M 7s ; 18-month to 2-year steers, £2 9s ; 18-months heifers, 325 ; 18-month steers, 89s 6d. Hunterville — Fat cows, £8 12s; 3 to 4-year steers, £B 10s ; forward cows, £2 5s to £3 os ; yearlings, 275. Sheep — Awahuri — Two tooth wethers, 12s ; 2-tooth ewes, 12s ; breeding ewes, from 6s to 9s ; lambs, 7s 7d to 7s lid ; shorn lambs, 7s 2d to 8s Id. Hunterville — Two tooth wethers, 10s Id ; breeding ewes, 5s 3d to 7s 9d ; lambs, 3s to ss.
