New Orleans Lynching Affair

LP"SE UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. ! Washington, March 21. It is stated the leading Italians in NewOrleans endorse the lynching of the Sicilians. The Italian Consul advises patience, and to wait for the Italian Government to act. March 22. Excited meetings of Italians have been held in New York, Philadelphia, and Newmarket to demand vengeance for the lynching of the Sicilians. Fourteen thousand are organising in Canada and the States. O'Malley, a detective employed by ths Italians during the recent trial, threatens to expose the working of the Mafia Society. He admits that six of those lynched were implicated in the murder of Chief Detective Hennessy. . New Orleans, March 22. At a meeting of five thousand Italian residents it was resolved to await reparation at the hands of the Government for the recent lynching outrage.
