Frozen Meat- — Our rec-.nt cables from -'london advise us of a considerably im ■ : proved tone in the market for frozen beef, fore and hind quarters being quoted »t from 3£d to -Jitl respectiyely. These .enhanced values we expect to see continue for some trore longer at any rate, the severe winter at Home having, no doubt, a very marked effect upon prices ; "^ 8 regards frozen' mutton, the reports are not quite so encouraging, but for - '-•spot*' sales prices are ruing at about • last quotations. We have recently sold , consignments of Wethers' and ma den ewes on account of sundry < hent at last ouoted rates, yiz., 2d per Ib unfrozen. Sheepskins— For dried pelts quotations are from Is 4d to 2s 6d ; lambs', 5d • $ 0 !(),) ; lamkskins, Is 6d to 2s 4d ; dried akins3d to s^d per Ib. - . Grain— U«ts : A 1 though the crops down South this year are sonvwhat shorter than last, w • do not anticipate any great advance in prices. Feed bailey is selling at 2s to 2s 3d per bushel. . Orossbreds are scarce; and the price remains very firm, while heavier merinos are 'recovering. * At a sale of sheepskins there was a good demand at a farthing advance on -• - the last series.

Price has advanced £ of a "penny peril since last report; The beef market is unchanged.
