Cumraing has resigned his commission in the Guards, pending the re* suit of his action for slander respecting the allegation against him of cheating the Prince of Wales at cards. February 13.,It is stated in connection with Sir W. Gumming that the Prince of Wales was watching a game of bacarrat at the house ■ of Mrs Arthur Wilson, when something: aroused his suspicion regarding Sir William Cumming's play. He immediately communicated his suspicion to the hostess, who requested five of the guests to ■ watch the play, and they declared that the suspicions of His Royal Higbaesa Were correct. The libel proceedings are against the fiye gentlemen who were requested to watch him.
