' Mr Gilbert Car- ' son, Chairman of the Board of Governors, presiding, aud there was a large concourse-- of people, notwithstanding the bad weather. The ram fair was concluded to-day. The total entries : numbered- 1165. The 1 bidding, was brisk, the highest prices being 27 guineas, 25 guineas, 20 guineas, and 12 guineas. Very few' lots were passed in. Altogether it was a great success. The Hon Mr Bullanee has received numerous telegrams from leading men throughout the Colony, complimenting him upon his admirable speech.
