A Family Poisoned
(TIMES CORBK^FONDRNT ) Mastkrtok, February 9. A yery serious case of accidental poisoning occurred in Mastertqh yesterday, by which the wh »!e family of Mrß. <x. Williams very nearly, met their deaths. It appears that at the usual hour the family sat down to breakfast, each partaking of porridge, with the exception of one boy. Before the meal had proceeded far the younger members began to sicken, and in a very short time the whole of those who had etrfen the por> ridge were seized with yiolent pains and vomiting. Dr H>sking was immediately called, and at once pronounced the symptoms to be those of arsenical poisoning. Antidotes' were administered, and so far they hare been successful, but, although progressing favourably, danger is not yet over. Some time ago Mr William mixed a quantity of " Roueh on Rats" with oatmeal, and placed the vessel containing the mixture on a shelf, as be supposed, out of harm's way. As this cannot nnw be foun 1 it is supposed that one of the children, finding the poisoned meal and not knowing better, emptk-d it into, the oatmeal tin. Jhere is no other way of accounting for the singular accident.
