The Midgets
To-morrow and Saturday evenings General and Mrs Mite, the .Royal American Midgets, will open in the Assembly Booms. They are reputed to be the smallest married couple in the world, measuring one 20 and the other 22 inches, and the two together not weighing 301bs. At the same time this liliputian pair are said to be remarkably bright, witty, pleasant, intelligent and altogether highly interesting, and to possess really surprising talents. They have travelled throughout: the civilised world, appeared before many crowned heads, and everywhere proved an immense attraction. With them is Professor Canaus, the Greek illusionist and Miss Olive Beaumont, the double vocalist, who arj spoken of as marvels in their separate capacities. On Saturday afternoon there will be a special performance when children will be admitted at reduced rates, as shown in advertisement.
