The Sylvia Park land estate was sold at auction at Auckland yesterday, and was bought in by the mortgagees (the River Plate Company) for £10,000. The following is the list of winning owners at the Wellington R.C.s Summer Meeting :— G Hunter, £565 5s ; J Paul, £199 10s ; M. and C. Hobbs, £152 ; J. D. Ormond, £99 15s ; G. P. Donnelly, £71 5s ;P. Tancred, £66 10s ;D. Rutherford, £66 10s ; A. Lloyd, £52 ss ; W. C. Webb, £23 15s ; smaller sums, £137 15s ; total, £1434 10s.
