Fat cattle were rather below the number anticipated, and a large proportion were of an indifferent class, the remaiuder being medium. The latter sorts kept their values, -but the others were neglected principally owing: to the trade having supplied itself with the better quality privately. A shortage of sheep in no way enhanced the value of those entered, but late rates remained unaltered throughout. A full number of pigs were yarded and sold readily. „ Beef: made 13s to 14s the lOOlbs j ewe mutton, Id per lb.
