The second wool sale of the N.Z.L. & M.A. Co. will be held at Wellington about Monday the 29th instant. The Longburn freezing works are now in full swing and nine or ten vans of meat have been sent to Wellington for shipment. Mr A. W. McFerran announces that he is now quite prepared to meet the requirements of his customers during the Christmas season. Yesterday Mr H. L. Sherwill, land agent, negociated the sale of a well appointed farm in the Makino to Mr H. Kuowles, of Wellington. The case of Mahi Rai, who was sentenced to death for murder at New Plymouth, is to be considered by the Cabinet in a day or two. Ihe new House will contain forty-six of the old members and twentyseven new ones. The seat for the Northern Maori district is vacant. Ths success which has so far attended the distribution of our Christmas gifts is a sure proof that the selection has met with warm approyal for the numerous visitors to Te Aro House, Wellington. We do this scientifically and accurately. We lay them well and never botch our work. Rotelkeepers, householders, and persons about to commence housekeeping should keep these things in remembrance, not forgetting that during the present month their cash purchases will entitle them to many a handsome Christmas present at Te Aro j House, Wellington.
