FEILDING SMALL FARM SETTLEMENT.
TO THE EDITOR OF TH;E STAR. Sir, — It is a matter of regret amongst the settlers here that* the warden (Mr Fowles) does not pay us a visit, he has never been in the Block since he became warden, nearly 2 years ago. .Now, 'sir, •otheW and myself think it absurd for Mr Fowles to hold the office he does unless he' pays more attention to' the wants of settlers here. If at was; not' for the interest* thei ; Engineer tak«B ; in our roads we >w6uld be s baiaiy off indefed.: When Mr Fowles ; was at Birmingham last Saturday a settler offered him his horse to ride in and out of the Block, which he declined, saying at the same time if the settlers were not satisfied they could get someone else.
