TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — Eeferring to yonr footnote to Mr Macarthur's reply to the Knights of Labor's political platform, published in your journal on Tuesday last, viz. : "The ! plank ' That the sale of Crown Lands and the wholesale trade in Native Lands shall cease' was not submitted to Mr Macarthur," allow me to explain that the omission was a pure inadvertence on my part, and I did not notice it till I saw the replies in print. As, however, it is not too late, perhaps Mr Macarthur will yet be kind enough to publish his views on this part of the Land question. — I am, &c, "W. Beading, Eecording Secretary U. S.K.L.
