Mr Jamieson's letter, published by his widow, shows that cannibalism was not purchased by bim, but was caused by an imprudent gift of calice to the natives. The Times states that the letter strikes the heaviest blow at Jamieson's reputation. November 17. Stanley's Zanzibar servant states that Jamieson himself handed the girl whom he bought to the cannibals. It is proposed to prosecute Messrs Troup, Ward, and Bonny, to elicit the truth about Barttelot and Jamieson.
