Manawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association

This Show, one of the most successful ever held in a country town in the Colony, was continued and concluded on Wednesday. The weather being fine, large numbers of people from the out-distriuts, as well as those of the township, came into Palmerston North for the Show, and in the afternoon the attendance exceeded 5000. There were a great many visitors, all of whom pronounced the display one of the best they had seen. The specially strong features of the show were the sheep, which were of splendid quality, and the horses and implements. The jumping and hunters' competitions were very keenly contested, as iudeed they should be. in a district so celebrated for its " leppers," and where hunting is a popular sport. A leadiu<r attraction was the exhibition of the Wobeley sheepshearing machine at work. The machine sheared about 30 sheep, the time taken | oyer each animal varying from two and a half to four minutes. Following is the prize list, continued from last publication :— IMPLEMENTS.
