Japanese news states that the Turkish warship Ertogrone with 500 souls on board foundered in a terrific gale between Kobe and Yokohama. Her boilers exploded while the vessel was sinking. Six officers and 57 of the crew were saved. Admiral Osman Pasha and Captain AH Bey were drowned. Erotogrone was an old and nnneaworthy vessel. Brisbane, October 24 Mr Wragge.
