The coroner not having considered it necessary to hold an inquiry into the circumstances connected with-, the disastrous fire which broke out in Ghbbs, Shallard and Oo.'s printing warehouse last week, a large deputation of propertyholders and representatives of various insurance companies waited upon Government and urged that an investigation should be instituted. Government decided to accede to the request, and have decided that an enquiry be held. There was a brilliant assemblage this ; afternoon at the enthronement of the Bishop of Sydney. The ceremony was performed by the Very Rev W.M.. Cowper, M.A., Dean of Sydney^ assisted by the Xt, Key Sydney Linton, D.D., Bishop of Rirerina. the Rt Key M. Thomas, D.D., Bishop of Goulburn, the Rt. Rev C. E. Catnidge, Bishop of Bathursf, the Rt. Rev W, Webber. D.D.. Bishop of Brisbane, the Rt. Rev P.P. Goe, D.D , Bishop of Melbourne, the Rt. Rev G. "W. Keunison, D D., Bishop of Adelaide.
