London, October 7. The Dennys, of Dunbarton, and Fleming and Fergusson, of Paisley, have contracted to build the new steamers required by the Union Company of New Zealand. Parn ell's absence from the conference at Dublin has provoked some comment. It is believed he is indignant at the American societies refusing to subordinate themselves to the central league.
