The Basomcas will give a performance in the Feilding Assembly Rooms on Tuesday, November 11th, of which particulars will be duly publieed. Everybody should go to the Maori entertainment in the Assembly Rooms this evening. The show is quite a novelty aud very interesting. At the first meeting of creditors in the estate of Daniel Jobberns, draper, yesterday afternoon, it was decided to remove the proceedings to Wellington. — Manawatu Times. The Manawatu Railway Company have decide 1 t> resume traffic on Thursdays, but Government will only conn* ct between Longburn and Palmerston on ihese days. Innes-Jones preached his inauguial sermons at Greatford, Bulls, and San don, iv each placo there was a full congregation. Yesterday when Mr lunes-Jones was crossing the Terehiukau, accompanied by Mr Norman Gorton, his horse stumbled and fell. Mr lanes- Jones was for sometime under water, but fortunately was able to get clear of the horse and afterwards ..reraount ami get ashore. The rev. gentleman left in the afternoon for Wellington to attend the meeting of the Synod, none the worse lor his mishap*

The Aorangi (from London) arrived at Port Chalmers at 5 this morning. Captain Edwin telegraphed at 9 a.m. to-day — Warnings for northerly gales and rain have been sent to all places. The Wellington butchers have decided to dose their business premises on Wednesday afternoons — and thus give their employes a half holiday every week. The entertainment at the Awahuri School on last Thursday night was a success, and the net profits will reach about £6. One of the reasons why Mr Bell did not get a good hearing in Wellington was, that being Crown Prosecutor a number of those present took advantage of the opportunity thus given them to pay off old scores.
