Only one-half of the mines at Peak Hill, the new rush, have bottomed, and a large number of miners, who proceeded there when the rush set in, are returning to the city discouraged. A man has been found murdered on the Peak Hill road. He had been tomahawked, and an attempt was made to burn his body. '
