At the regatta to-day Kemp, Neilson and Stansbury took part in the All-comers Scullers Race, A good start was effected, the champion leading for the first mile by quite two lengths. In; the last mile, Stansbury, who had been last throughout, made a tremendous spurt, and, soon overhauling Neilson, was gradually creeping on Kemp, but unfortunately he and Neileon fouled when abreast of the lightship, thus permitting Kemp toirow in a winner by a length and a half, Neilson, a length away, third. Time, 17rnin 15sec. : Melbotjbne, September 20. Following horses have jj&en scratched for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups: — Briton, Proh Endorj Tradition and Manton. Plover and Sylvester have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. -y October 1. The training tracks are heavy, owing to the recent rainfall, but: are rapidly drying. Titan is improving daily. Carbine, whose owner (Mr Donald Wallace, has backed him to win .£20,000 besides the stakes, swung gently round, apparently in the height of condition, without the slightest symptoms of lameness or soreness. Megaphone and, Tantaloon both present a bloomy appearance. 'Whakawai, Gio--yanni, and Signapore are looking and going splendidly. The first named promises to retrieve his laurels during this spring. Richelieu and Eichruley look a well as their best friends could desire. Carrington is evidently returning to Ms two-year-old form. ;i \
