REID AND GRAY'S Double Furrow Ploughs, ALSO, THEIR : CHILLED DIGGING PLOUGHS, With reversible Points, Which, if desired, can be made convertible into ordinary Double Furrows. THE BEST IN THE MAEKET, And much lighter in draught than those of other makers. Eeid&Geat 30th June, 1890. In reply to your memo, of 27th inst., asking my opinion of the work done by i your digging Plough at the Digging Plough Trial, held here on Tuesday last, I must say I was agreeably surprised to see your Converted 1 >igger do such splendid work, considering the dry state of the ground, and the tough couch»grass it had to work in— the latter it buried completely out of sight and left the furrows thoroughly broken up into a fiae tilth. There was no doubt in my mind or any of the farmers present that it did superior work to either ot the other three diggers on the ground, and the draught did not appear to be any heavier on the horses. You are confemng a great boon on farmers by making their old double furrow ploughs convertible iuto Diggers at such a reasonable cost. — Yours &c. (Signed) John Macphbbson, Manager for N.Z. & A. Land Co., Totara Estate. To Keid and Gkay Pap»kaio, May 30. 1890. I haye much pleasure in informing you the two Digging Ploughs hare given me great satisfaction. They break up the ground so well that very little harrowing is j required. lam working them with four horses each, and doing four acres per day } with each plough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am considering whether I j will harrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised already. If Ido | it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men say that they make a much better ■job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does. J (Signed) Donald Bobbie.
