[The Honorable Sybil De Vere, youngest daughter of the late Viscount Maiden, and granddaughter of the Earl of Essex, was born in 1855. Lord Brassey was born in 1837. Messrs O'Brien and Dillon were conveyed in a special train from Cork, under a heavy escort, but at Tipperary they secured bail. Capetown, September 20. Great excitement was caused here owing to the arrival n port of a Portuguese ship conveying Natives from Mozambique to the West Coast of Africa. The Court refused to liberate the natives, and ultimately 14 of them escaped, but the Court declined to order their surrender.
