Presentation to Miss Edith Beardsail of Worship
On Wednesday, • the clergy and Sunday school teachers connected with the Priory Parish, Worship, presented Miss Edith Beardsali with a handsome walnut Davenport, inlaid -with amboyna and holly, as a mark of their esteem and respect on the occasion of her marriage to the Rev. Arthur Hermon, which is fixed to take place on the 31st inst. Miss Beardeall has for several years taken an -active part in the management of the Priory Infant Sunday school, and it was'felt that the present occasion •could not be allowed to pass over without some substantial recognition of her services, as her loss will be keenly felt and deeply regretted. The following suitable inscription was handsomely engraved in silver on the Davenport — "Presented to Miss E. Beardsail by the clergy and teachers of the Worksop Parish Sunday Schools on the occasion of her mar- ' riage, July 31st 1890." The recipient of 'the gift* will leave England at the latter end of August for Feilding, New j Zealand, so named after Colonel Feilding who, with,. the Duke of Manchester, took up land in the early days of colonization in New Zealand, where the Eev. A. Hermon has a living. We take this opportunity of congratulating you on your approaching marriage and we earnestly pray that God's blessing may rest upon your work, and the home in the new world to which you are going, a=id that every happiness this world can afford may ever attend you and yours.
