THE BEST IN THE MARKET, And much lighter in draught than those of oilier makers. Rkid & Gray 3 01 ' 1 June, 1890. Tn reply to your m-nin. of 27th inst., aslcinc: my opinion of the work done by | your digging Ploueh at the Dinging Plough Trial, held here on Tuesday last, I must I «;iy I was agreeably surprised to see yonr Converted ■ 'igger do such splendid vr >rk, considering the dry state of the ground, and the tou<?h oouclugrjiss it had to work i M _ the latter it buried completely out of sight and 1-ft the furrows th-voughly broken up inlo ?i fine tilth. There was no doubt in my mind or -my of the farmers present that it did superior work to either at the other three diggers on the ground, and the draught did not appear to be nny heavier on the horse*. You are conf' r ing a great boon on farmers by miking their 01.l double furrow ploughs convertible into Diggers at such a reasonable cost. — Yours &o. ; (Signed) John Macpftkhsox, Manager for N.Z. & A. Land Co., Totara Estate. To "Reid and Gbay Papafcnio, May 30. 1890. I liaye much pleasure in informing yrm the two Digging Ploughs have given me great satisfaction. They break up the pr und so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working them with four horses each, anc 1 doing four acres per day with each plough. lam going to sow wiih the drill, and am eonsiderin ■ whether 1 will horrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised already. If Ido it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men sny that they make a much better job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does (Signed) Donald Borrik. ■ - .■■l. iiinn- . imi i_i_ ■■■'■"■ ■"■■»■■■' lll !!^'.''""!!?.'.'.'_^: |
