(NOTB9 BY CaKBIKI.) Like the Rangitikei Hunt Club, the Feilding Club received first class acceptances on Saturday night. Large acceptances are the best proofs of a good handicap, so Mr Henry has good reason to be proud of his adjustments for both of the above meetings. Twelve of the horses engaged at Feilding meeting are being trained on our looal oouii*, and there is quit* a stir every morning with trainers and jocks, Several of the horses I notice are undergoing a very severe course of training. The winners at Marten to-morrow if engagi d here, are not liketj to have things all their own way on Monday, ac they will incur penalities, and also have fresh horses to meet. The folfollowiug horses will not be runuiug at Marton to morrow that are engaged here : —The Dream, Empress, Commotion, Allegretto, Evelyn, Euclid, Eiminui and Maraina. My selectors for Monday's races will appear in Saturday's issue.
A London eablogram says : — At the Derby meeting the) Champion Braeders Foal Stakes was won by Gone Coon, 1 ; Springtime, 2 ; Bumption«, 3. Tat race horse Cranbrook hat been found hidden in a cave about 20 miles ! from where he was stolen. It is be lieved ha was taken fur stud purposes.
