" - The ordinary meeting of the Land > Board was held on Thursday, at ""Welling. Present— Mr J. ;W. A. .'Marchant, Commissioner in the chair ' v and -Messrs W. W. McCardle, W. A. C-Fitzherbert, I). Lilly ; G Signal, " " «ection 84, Block VII., Ongo, to T. .r , H. Lynch. - The following applications for titles were approved : — GK Shannon, . section 36, Block XI., Apiti ; T. Hill and A. A. A large number of applications for , r transfers were postponed till next ' - .meeting. It was resolved to issue certificates ' to the Pahiatua County Council to use certain thirds to pay interest on loans praised under the Loans to Local ■'Bodies Act. -' - An application from Aichbishop Redwood- for section 3i, Hunterville, free of cost for a church site was received; and it was resolved to inform him that there is no power to give the - land, but that it can be purchased for ~£29. ° ' It was resolved to allow L. R. -ißryant to pay interest on section 1552,. 810ck LX, Kairanga, for 14 ;years from the date of his license —on theiißuai *;erms. % ' / .With reference to the question -•of offering forest reserves for sale, it was deferred till next meeting. Mr 1 Ma'carthur moved that a legal opinion be applied for as to whetkor ■under clause 's* of the Act the Board oan review its decision under the Selectors Lands Revaluation Act 1889, . after it has been confirmed by the ;il Minister; and that a special meeting be held this day fortnight to consider the matter. The motion was seconded Itj Mr Bunny, and agreed to.
