Which, if desired, can be made convertible into ordinary Double Furrows. THE BEST IN THE MARKET, And much lighter in draught than those of other makers. Reid & Ghat 30th June, 1890. In reply to yonr memo, of 27th inst, asking my opinion of the work done by your digging Plough at the Digging Plough Trial, held here on Tuesday last, I must say I was agreeably surprised to see yonr Converted nigger do such splendid wirk, considering the dry state of the ground, and the tough eouch»gr:iss it had to work i in— the latter it buried completely out of sight and left the furrows thoroughly j broken up in(o a fine tilth. There was no doubt in my mind or any of the farmers ; present that it did superior work to either ot the other three diggers on the ground, | and the draught did not appear to be any heavier on the horses. You are confer in g I a great boon on farmers by making their old double furrow ploughs convertible ! into Diggers at such a reasonable cost. — Yours &a. (Signed) John Macphbrson, Manager for N.Zi & A. Land Co., Totara Estate. To Reid and Gbat Papakaio, May 30, 1890. I haye much pleasure in informing you the two Digging Ploughs have given me great satisfaction. They break up the gr und so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working thera with four horses each, and doing four acres per day i with each plough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am considering whether I will harrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised already. If Ido : it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men say that they make a much better job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does. (Signed) Donald Bobbie.
