* - The representatiye football match on Saturday, between Tarauaki and Gisfrjriie, resulted iv a draw, each side acor ing a try. The following is the team selected to represent Manawatu against Taranaki : — Full-back, J. Eobinson; three-quarters, Parr, Dyer and Jewell ; halves, Harmer, Shannon and Isherwood ; forwards, Oliphant, Hyland, Hanna, Mowleto, Tennent, Whisker, Matravers and Nicholson. * Taranaki defeaated a Hawkes Bay Maori team at Napier yesterday by 11 points to nil. The Taranaki men have been coached by Heffernan, of Auckland, and have improved greatly since the Auckland match. They play Hawkes Bay to-morrow. The Feilding second fifteen easily de feated the Oroua Bridge team on Saturday, having decidedly the best of the game all through. When time was called the score stood — Feilding, 11 points ; Oroua Bridge, 2.
