Shortening the Session

, To-day's Times says: — Under the ari rangement which, as was announced yesterday morning, the Government and > the Opposition had come to, the fol- ■ lowing Bills will, if possible, be passed : — Truck Coalmines Act Amendment, Employers' Liability, Shipping and Seamen* Act Amendment, Educational Reserve* Leasing, Todman Land Grant, Industrial Schools, Companies Act Amendment, Children's Protection, Oaths, Census Act Amendment, Sheep, Dentists Act Amendment, Factories and Shops, Law of Libel, Native Land Laws Amendment, Horomana Faatu Land Grant, Education Beser es Act Amendment, Electoral Acts. Aiuen Iment, Arbitration, Mercantile Agents, Westport-Ngakawau Railway Extension, Volunteer DrOlsheds and Lands Trustees Validation Bills. Some other Bills of a technical nature will also be proceeded with. It is an open secret that neither the Ministerial nor the Opposition party as a whole are satisfied with the arrangement which has been come to. Especially among the Government party is dissent expressed, for the " Skinflints" consider they are being slighted, while some of the remnant of the " Freetrade party*' are iuclined o look upon any term* witu the •'lemy as dif'uonorabls.
