A shocking tragedy occurred at a spot on the bar.ks of the Murray, near Yntyner Station (Victoria), Donald McDonald, a fisherman, was discovered shot through the bead. The discovery was made by a station hand, who was riding down the J river. He called at deceased's hut to i^et some cartridges, and on entering found McDonald's body lyiug across the buuk, and covered with bed-clothes. He moved a coat from the upper portion of the body, and to his horror found deceased's face terribly riddled with shot, and presenting a shocking sight. bo far there is no clue to the murderer, who had ransacked the place, and stolen deceased's watch, money, and bank book. The murdered man was very industrious, and is said to have done very well at fishing, earning as much as £5 and £6 per week.
