In the manifesto which he has issued Dr Celnan- attributes the revolution tothe ambition of the local party in Buenos Ayres, which wished to impose itself and its views on the entire Republic. He aiso expresses his thanks that his author. ity was supported. The banks in the city have re-opened. Reports have reached town that fighting is still going on at Lomas, 15 miles distant from here. Aueust 2. The populace is still excited, but order is maintained, August 4. A number of Senators and Deputies support the President. It is asserted thai Major Palmer, whom Dr Celman declared to be an informer, has been poisoned. The Cabinet has decided in favor of a forced currency.
