Which, if desired, can be made convertible into ordinary Double Furrows. THE BEST IN THE MARKET, And much lighter in draught than those of other makers. Reid & Gray 30th June, 1890. In reply to your memo, of 27th inst., aslcing my opinion of the work done by your digging Plough at the Digging Plough Trial, held here on Tuesday last, I must say I was agreeably surprised to see jour Converted "isger do such splendid w.»rk, considering the dry state of the ground, and the tough cojich "grass, it had to work in— the latter it buried completely ' out of sight 'and left the furrows thoroughly broken up into a fine tilth. There was no doubt in my mind or any .of the farmers . present that it did 1 superior work. to either oMhe other three diggers on the ground, , and the draught did not appear to be any heavier on the horses. You are conferring a great boon on farmers by m» king their old double furrow ploughs convertible into Diggers at 'such a reasonable cost. — Yours &c. (Signed) John Macpheeson, Manager for N.Z. & A. Land Oo.i-Totara Estate. To Reii> and Ghay Papakaio, May 30, 1890. I haye much pleasure in informing you the two Diirging Ploughs have given me great satisfaction. They break up the gr und so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working them with four horses each, anc? doing four acres per day with each plough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am eonsiderin: whether I will harrow any : before soyring^as the ground is so well pulverised already. If Ido it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men sny that they make a much. better job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does L ' ' (Signed) Donald Boeeie.
