Sew Zealand Hemp. — The market has been iuactive during the past month:, 'and iv view of the lower prices ruling for manila and sisal, it has generally been necessary to accept a decline of fully 20s per ton on previous rates ia order to effect sales, Kecent arrivals moreover have been heavy, and the stock in warehouse is now fully 1200 tons in excess of that reported on 30th April. Some 3000 bales have been brought forward at public auctions, of which about 2000 have been disposed of at and after the sales at from £15 to £16 per ton for very, ordinary half dressed, from £17 10s to £18 10s for common mixed •color and strawy, and from £19 to £'20 ,, for fair medium descriptions. Medium to good medium, well dressed fiOtts, hare realised from £21 to £23 per tan, and hackled tow from £15 to £16 per ton.,. Manila closes quiet, but it is fairly steady at £34 per ton on spot, and £33 10s to £34 per ton to .arrive c.i.f., while sisal is quoted at £25 10s per ton, ex quay Liverpool."
