Kiwitea Church

■» . .... ... [from our own coKBESPOHDEirr.] : The opening service of the. new Kiwitea Church was held on Sunday last by the Rev. Alan Innes- Jones, who preached a ■ most impressive and appropriate sermon to a large and appreciative congregation. Ihe church had been tastefully decorated the day before, by .several ladies of the * Kiwitea, with flowers and evergreens, rhe building, which was designed by Mr ' • Clere and erected by Mr W. Batchelor of Wanganui, reflects great credit on both architect and contractor. The walls art lined throughout, and the upper part of 'the?' lining being diagonal, adds greatly to the " affect. The seats and other fixtures are •^ neatly finished. When sufficient funds have been raised the interior of the ohurch will be oiled and the outside painted. Mr - Levett generously^gave, an acre of ground .•!». for the site, and "the committee intend ta" plant ornamental trees at an early date*
