Dbab Sir,— l have great pleasure ii acknowledging the receipt of the helpfu and opportune remittance, representing the gifts of a circle of loving and synipa thising friends in Feilding, which yoi send me towards the needs of my wori amongst poor children. The generosity of Christian friends who, all the worlc over,' unite with me in rescuing and training the homeless and friendless little ona of our great cities evokes my deepest gratitude. My family of rescued children'to-daj numbers no less than 3,450, and. we ar< daily receiving into the homes miserable and neglected children whose necessitiet are sadly urgent. While we keep an evei open door for the benefit of the waifs and strays /we need on ohe other hand a con-stant-flow of beneficeat aid into our treas ; nry. Hitherto God has graciously bleasec our efforts and bur faith is still fixed uppt His unfailing loving kindness to these Hit little ones. To you and to otfier oft.hi liord's stewards who minister to theii wants I am deeply, indebted and I beg that you will accept with the enclosed official receipt and .transmit a warm expression of gratitude to each and all whe have contributed to this practic; 1 message of God-speed to the little waifs and strays of our city streets. I also enclose a separ ate receipt for Miss Perry, which I beg you will convey to her with the assurance of my sincere thanks to herself and to th< members of her Sunday School who hav< been so ready to aid their needy and des titute little brothers and sisters over the sea.
