REID AND GRAY'S Double Furrow Ploughs, ALSO, THEIR CHILLED DIGGING PLOUGHS, With reversible Points, "Which, if desired, can be made convertible into ordinary Double Eurrows. THE BEST IN THE MARKET, And much lighter in draught tban those of oiier makers. To Reid and Geey, Duntroon, May 14, 1890. The Double-furrow Plough that you eonvertrd into a Pigging Plough for rae is giving satisfaction. It is doing splendid work. lam ploughing 10in. deep on ridgy land with five medium horses— the ground at present being harder than I ever experienced owing to the continued drought. Several farmers have been looking at the dieger at work, and have expressed themselves highly satisfied with the manner it p rforms the work. I have been ploughing on stony land with it without a single breakage ; moreover, it is very easily converted into an ordinary D >üble-furrovv or vice versa. (Signed) James B. Tayloe. To Reid and Geay Papakaio, May 30, 1890. I liaye much pleasure in informing you the two Digging Ploughs have given me great satisfaction. They break up the gr und so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working them with four horses each, and doing four acres per day with each plough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am considering whether I will harrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised already. If Ido it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men say that they make a much better job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does. (Signed) Donald Bobbie.
