REID AND GRAY'S Double Furrow Ploughs, ALSO, THEIE CHILLED DIGGING PLOUGHS, With reversible Points, Which, if desired, can be made convertible into ordinary Double Furrows. THE BEST IN THE MAEKET, And much, lighter in draught tbau those of other makers. To Retd and Geey, Duntrooo, May 14, 1890. The Double-furrow Plough tliatyou converfrd into a Digging Plough for me is giving satisfaction. It is doing splendid work. lam ploughing lOin. deep on ridgy l:ind with five medium borses— the ground at present being harder than I ever exoerienced owing to ihe continued drought. Several farmers have been looking at the digger at work, and have expre-sed themselves highly satisfied witli the manner it j p rfo«"Ois the work. I have been ploughing on siony land with it without a single breakage ; moreover, it is very easily converted into an ordinary Double -furrow or vice versa. (Signed) James B. Taylor. To Eeid and Gray Papnkaio, May 30. 1890. I have much pleasure in informing you the two Digging Ploughs have given me great satisfaction. They break up the gr ;und so well that very little harrowing is required. lam working them with four horses each, and doing four acres per day with each plough. lam going to sow with the drill, and am considering whether I will harrow any before sowing, as the ground is so well pulverised oiready. If Ido it will be only one turn of the harrows. My men say that they make a much better job, and do not leave the furrows on edge in lea as the imported one does. (Signed) Donald Bobbie.
